People Do Care
I told you the other day that this week has been a tough week for me.
Just one of those weeks where nothing works. A week that put me on edge. A little angry. A little ill-tempered. A little too quick to feel sorry for myself.
One of the miracles of doing this blog thing is that people are actually interested in my stories, my reflections, and my perspectives.
And when I wrote that I was having a tough week many people, many whom I’ve never meet before, reached out and told me they’re thinking about me or told me that I’ve inspired them to take a writing class or reminded me to smile and sent me picture of their dog, Stella the Wonder Pup, smiling.
And then, a little slower than I like to admit, I realize how fortunate I am.
That people do care.
And I want you to know I care about you. Yes, you. You who have taken a few minutes out of your life to be with me today.
That’s awesome. Inspiring. And makes me further believe I’m doing something right here.
We shoulder our lives together.
Love. Joy. Triumph. Pain. Sadness. Anger. These are the experiences that bring us together. These are the experiences that remind us how much we mean to each other.
So thank you and I hope this weekend you find time to share a little of your life with someone you love.
Be well,
Jay
